STEM Skool, Inc. is a Charlotte, NC-based freeskool focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math classes, workshops and events. We implement a decentralized, student-inspired educational model, meaning that instead of being located in a single location, we deliver our programs in various settings around our city.

Our current programs include: K-8 Science + Engineering and Computer Science (CS) Fundamentals. We have also partnered with Coursera and edX to promote additional opportunities for online education.

PreK-8 Science + Engineering

Leading Science and Engineering Curriculum for Grades PreK-8.

STEM Skool hosts weekly science and engineering classes for PreK-8 students in Charlotte, NC.

Every quarter, students complete a rigorous unit study developed by the National Center for Technological Literacy (NCTL) at the Museum of Science, Boston.

Each unit delves into a specific area of Life Science, Physical Science or Earth and Space Science and features hands-on design challenges that walk students through the engineering design process.

Computer Science (CS) Fundamentals:

K-5 Computer Science Classes With Code.org.

Code.org’s Computer Science (CS) Fundamentals series allows elementary school students to create computer programs that help them learn to collaborate with others, develop problem-solving skills and persist through difficult tasks.

Students study programming concepts, computational thinking and digital citizenship while developing interactive games and stories.

STEM Skool offers weekly CS Fundamentals classes in conjunction with our K-8 Science + Engineering program.
