Raspberry Pi Day 2019

March 14 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Sorry. This class is full.

It’s time to celebrate 3.14!

Pi Day is a STEM Skool tradition!

This year, former Microsoft engineer and Raspberry Pi enthusiast, Matthew Justice, will lead us in a hands-on programming workshop.

The Raspberry Pi is a credit card–sized computer that plugs into your TV or display, and a keyboard and mouse. You can use it to learn coding and to build electronics projects, and for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word processing, browsing the internet, and playing games. It also plays high-definition video.

Who: Kids 12 and older. 9-11 year olds may attend with an adult.

When: Thursday, March 14, 2019 @ 2pm.

Where: SouthPark Microsoft Store, Charlotte, NC

Cost: FREE!

***Registration is required. Space is limited.***

Our Facilitator:

Matthew Justice is a software engineer who is currently writing a book on how computers work. He previously worked at Microsoft for 17 years in various roles, from debugging the Windows kernel to developing web applications. He’s a hobbyist musician who enjoys playing saxophone and arranging music. Matthew has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee. Matthew grew up in Kingsport, TN, where he met his lovely wife, Suzy. They now have four children and live in Charlotte, NC.
